Join us January 26th until February 1st for a once in a lifetime Jiu Jitsu Excursion in Antigua Guatemala. Train Jiu Jitsu at 5k feet above sea level with expert coaches while getting to explore and enjoy the magic of Antigua Guatemala.
Macua Fight Academy will be our host gym in central Antigua where you will be able to train up to 3x per day with a selection of 6 different coaches. When we're not training we will have organized group excursions from walking tours, swimming, ATV ridings, and restaurants/bar hopping, just to mention a few. You will also have freedom to choose-your-own-adventure to explore all that Antigua has to offer.
We will be staying at a large historic colonial house only 2 blocks from Macua Fight Academy. When not training and exploring Antigua this will be a picturesque house to relax, rest, and enjoy the 2 rooftop terraces that overlook 3 volcanos.

MAtthias Meister
Owner and head Instructor at NOLA BJJ, has been training in Jiu Jitsu since the mid 90’s. He is a NAGA champion, Pan American BJJ champion and IBJJF Masters World Champion at the Black Belt level. Originally trained as a Judoka, growing up in Switzerland, Matthias received his Black Belt in BJJ from Carlos Gracie Jr in 2009, receiving his 4th degree in 2023.

Co-Founder at Macua Fight Academy. With over 15 years practicing Martial arts and a background in health, working with athletes and professional sport teams alike. Sam blends his knowledge of body mechanics and his love of martial arts to provide well rounded and technical classes to his students.

DAVID Juarez
Catch wrestling wizard + MMA practitioner. He is a charismatic teacher who gives his all to every class and has a deep wealth of knowledge when it comes to grappling and martial arts overall. Giving classes in both English and Spanish, anyone with any level of experience will gain a lot from his classes at Macua.
